Lead Charity Partner
ReesLeisure events have raised over £500,000 for charity over the past three years and the company are thrilled to have linked up with Cancer Research UK on the TryTri branch of their events. Kate Warne (pictured, right), Community Liaison Officer at ReesLeisure, stated: ‘We are so pleased to welcome Cancer Research UK to TryTri events as our Lead Charity. Sadly, most people have been touched by cancer and therefore are keen to support the research to find a cure. Our Triathlons are great for setting yourself a challenge and an interesting event to sponsor and spectate. Our partnership with Cancer Research UK means that we have made it even easier to fundraise on their behalf when you sign up to a TryTri event, so if you’ve always fancied being a triathlete, now’s your chance!’
Jessica Edwards (picture, centre), Sports Team Executive from Cancer Research UK, said: ‘Cancer Research UK are really excited to be the lead charity partner for the Try Tri Series. Our ambition is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured and without the support of partners like Rees Leisure and the extraordinary generosity of the people taking part in these events, our life-saving work wouldn’t be possible. We can’t wait to welcome you to our CRUK team and together help beat cancer sooner.’
