May Day is Back for 2020!
In May 2020, the May Day Triathlon is back in Winchester, at Kings College. This one day event can be fun for the entire family with two adult distances (novice and sprint) and then a kids race can to introduce them to this fun discipline. This year the event is taking place on the 4th of May, which is a bank holiday Monday, so everyone can come!
During the day you will swim, cycle and then run your way to the finish line. The race takes place in the beautiful countryside of Winchester and the sign-ups are open so you can secure your place right now!
There is plenty of opportunities for spectators to see you throughout the race and to cheer you on, making sure you stay motivated, as well as to see you when you finally cross the finish line. So you you can bring the entire family with you for a fun day out.
“We are looking forward to this great event and to be back in Winchester for it, I always look forward to watching the children crossing the finish line and seeing how much they are enjoying the event,” said Nikki Rees, managing director of Rees Leisure.
The children’s triathlon is a mini version of the main race; with all the components of a regular triathlon this is a great way to explore three different sports with your child and get them fit and moving.
There are also opportunities to get involved as a volunteer on the day and if you want to get involved as a marshal, visit this website: /events/may-day-triathlon/volunteer-as-a-marshal.aspx
